CamBioScience joins international WISE Accelerator

One of four promising edtech initiatives selected by World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE)

3rd October 2017. The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a leading international initiative focused on promoting innovation in education, has selected CamBioScience Limited to be one of only four companies globally to benefit from the 2017-18 WISE Accelerator programme. Dr. Chibeza Agley, CamBioScience Ltd Founder and CEO remarked: “The Pillars of the Qatar Foundation: Education, Science and Research, closely match the ideals and focus of our buisness and this alignment is one of the reasons we sought to apply for the WISE intiative”.

CamBioScience Limited has developed a cloud-based platform with integrated artificial intelligence technology (patent pending) for personalised professional education, assessment and certification in the life sciences and healthcare. CamBioScience operates a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) business model centred on the supply of its technology enabled platform and life sciences courses to corporate, higher education institutions, and individuals all over the world. From its successful courses in Europe and Asia, CamBioScience has cultivated a global reputation as a leading provider of training and certification in cutting-edge life science technologies. The company’s vision is to become the marketleading provider of online personalised training and accreditation for all bioscience and healthcare affiliated sectors. As a profit-with-purpose company, CamBioScience’s aim is to equip businesses, organisations and professionals with the skills they need to build a healthier and a technologically more advanced society.

“We are delighted to be accepted on to the prestigious WISE Accelerator. CamBioScience Ltd. is particualry excited to join the WISE inititiatve as we look to scale-up our operation into new international markets. Joining WISE, will help us achieve our goal of ensuring the knowledgable application of science and technology as a means to equip indidivuals, origanisations, and companies with the skills they need to tackle some of the world’s greatest problems” Dr. Chibeza Agley, CEO, CamBioScience Ltd.

Science and technology are advancing at unprecedented speed creating an ever-expanding pool of knowledge that needs to be verified, collated, indexed and arranged into usable learning materials. This creates an interesting paradox in which, although we have access to more information and resources than ever before, the opportunity to become overwhelmed and confused by ‘information overload’ has also never been more real. This is perhaps one of the reasons why the global science and technology sector is currently in the grip of a large employment-gap. Despite greatly increased demand for highly skilled scientific professionals, there is a lack of graduates and professionals qualified with the specific knowledge and proficiencies that employers need.

“This programme is the opportunity for us to join efforts with organisations that share our mission of shaping the future of education, and to grow our company with the guidance of the most experienced players in the field of educational technology.” Dr Juergen Fink, COO, CamBioScience Ltd.

Since 2015 CamBioScience Limited has provided intensive training courses in breakthrough life science technologies for professionals in academia and industry. To date the company has trained an international customer base of professional scientists from over 60 leading academic and industrial institutions and more than 30 countries worldwide.
